The UBC Thunderbirds beat Texas TUFF in the semifinals of Centex, 15-13.

The first half was a back and forth battle with Texas barely being in front, 8-7.

In the second half, Texas got a two point lead and had a chance to increase it to three. However, the Texas handlers tried to force some difficult throws. Instead of shutting the door they opened it for UBC.

“We adjusted our defense in the second half and our offense started scoring,” said UBC player John Norris. “Simple as that.”

Matt Berezan was once again excellent as a deep defender.
